Yesterday I did a photo shoot for my new bridal collection with my new camera!It was an early birthday present to myself. I had my best friend (Nathan Johnson) doing makeup, and such a nice lovely model. What a great day! I can't wait to show you guys the rest of the pictures!Bridal market is this weekend, and I am excited to show my new dresses.

Spring 2013 Collection

Hi everyone! I have just wrapped up another NY fashion week show this Saturday, and I think it was one of my most enjoyable shows to date.

Yes, there was certainly the rush at the end and days before, but not the minutes leading up to the show. This is despite the fact that 90% of this collection was made in the week before the show. Yes, truly! I put myself on a tight schedule, and made it happen!

I was inspired while on my vacation to France this summer. No, not on the typical things you might think such as the Eiffel Tower or Champs-Élysées, but in a garden in Southern France where I found a lovely leafy-cabbage/swiss chard-ish type plant growing with beautiful leaves and colors.

In the past year I have been indulging in eating all kinds of greens and juicing them as well, so this was something that just seemed like a natural fit. Something that is beautiful on the outside, and makes all us healthier within.

I also chose to show some of my bridal looks from my upcoming bridal collection because it is such a large part of my business now. The inspiration is the same and therefore they work together and I felt should be shown that way.

Lastly, I have to thank all my models from the show. I decided to re-book them all from my last season show because not only are they beautiful on the outside, each and every one of them has a sweet personality and kindness that I think shines through on the runway. No, it may not be the protocol of what is "expected" to be done for fashion week, but I think good relationships that don't end after the show are more important.

And of course, my biggest thanks of all to my dear friend Nathan Johnson who designed the hair and makeup looks and has always been standing by me cheering me on to try and accomplish what could otherwise seem impossible.

spring 2013 bridal

I just realized that I had not ever posted up my Spring 2013 collection for bridal! It's all currently at Lovely bridal boutique for their trunk show in NYC this weekend and next weekend, plus the addition of a few other limited-edition dresses. Enjoy!

France, je t'aime!

I finally have returned from my vacation in France. Paris was beautiful, but the "summer" weather wasn't terribly cooperative. We had some torrential downpours, but it was very fun nonetheless. (Don't you love the chic lady in the flourescent peplum dress during this downpour?) Rémy and I ran and took cover in a phone booth from this rain!
In Southern France I finally had a chance to relax and get some sunshine. And I also ate my weight in delicious cheese, wine and bread! Ah, I can't wait to return again in the future. Now it's back to work and crunch time as I prepare for my upcoming NY fashion week show. Luckily this vacation has provided me with newfound energy and inspiration. Bonnes vacances à tous!

Upcoming Trunk Shows

I will be having two trunk shows in August at both the LA Lovely and NYC Lovely, where I will be showing my new Spring 2013 collection, as well as the current dresses and a few one of a kind and trunk-show only special gowns.
