brought to you by the letter N

In order to get the organic cotton materials the colors that I wanted, I ended up hand-dyeing everything in the collection. Well, that is after the eco-friendly dye-house that was going to do it, somehow managed to ruin every fabric I gave them. Hmm, still not sure how they did that.
Thankfully, I had better results. The cotton took the peach really well, and in these folds it somehow almost glowed orange in natural lighting.

Shouldn't a DYE-HOUSE have made the cloth....um...I don't know THE RIGHT COLOUR!?!?! that's just messed up that they ruined you fabrics

Oh, yeah. They didn't just get the colors wrong, they burned the fabric and it had little holes in it and was unrecognizable. They did this twice, and then I just cancelled the rest of my order.

The color is beautiful. Merry Christmas! xx Mitsy

How do you burn fabric when your supposed to be DYEING it?!!? well, either way, your dye job looks even and like it would be a very pretty antique peach. merry Christmas

if you want something done right... maybe you're better off doing it yourself, but i'm sure you didn't factor that into the schedule! good luck!

lovely. juuuuust lovely. out of curiousity, how does one (meaning you, not the 'professionals') go about hand-dyeing fabric? is it as simple as a bottle of rit and some hot water?

that's terrible!
but maybe it was for the best! I think it adds a lovely touch that you hand-dyed the fabrics yourself...the color and the dress look stunning!!

this dye house didn't happent to be in Chicago did it? i ask only because i've been in talks with a natural dye house that i'd like to start working with. I just can't meet minimum for the colors i want and i figured buying organic in bulk and then dyeing lots to what i need would work well...not sure now though. don't want burned fabric!
